Touch of Nature Environmental Center actively engages many different audiences by offering enjoyable and educational programs for children, youth, adults and seniors.  We actively nurture engagement and involvement, and promote diversity and inclusiveness through our varied programs. Find out about some of the many ways you can volunteeer at SIU's Touch of Nature here

2017 Trail Stewardship Days

Individuals, students and community organizations are currently in the process of restoring the trail system dotting our 3,100 acres of wilderness.   No experience is necessary. We'll teach you how to use the necessary tools properly and safely.  All you'll need to bring is your lunch, a water bottle and your hard work.  

Trail Stewardship Days takes place Sunday, March 26 and every Sunday in April from 9 a.m.-noon, and 1- 4 p.m.  Please register at least 48 hours before a session begins.
