Way of the Paddle Day Camp, July 8-12

 Way of the Paddle_

Way of the Paddle is July 8-12 for ages 13-15 and includes a week of developing canoeing and kayaking skills along with experiencing some of the most awesome places to paddle in Southern Illinois!

Paddling adventures include Little Grassy Lake, an excursion into the wild at Devil’s Kitchen Lake and an interpretive paddle at the Cache River State Natural Area.

Participants who will able to achieve a level-one canoe certification will be able to register for a level-two program in the future, which teaches moving water skills.  The camp is facilitated by American Canoe Association-certified instructors with a Red Cross-certified lifeguard on duty.

The goal is to train paddlers to be comfortable in the water and their boats, understand the importance of following safety practices, and instill a love for the activity as a lifelong part of healthy, active lives.

Come experience the WAY of the PADDLE!
