Fieldwork and Internships
The best way to prepare for a career is to gain hands-on experience working in the field. Luckily, Touch of Nature provides a fun, supportive, and beautiful setting for students like you to do just that!
Interns and fieldworkers play an integral role at Touch of Nature. While our #1 goal with our internship program is to further students' education and experience, we also rely on their hard work for our year-round programs to run smoothly and keep our participants coming back.
A full-time intern at Touch of Nature works 40 hours per week and receives room and partial board (meals are available during certain programs) at no cost and a $150 per week stipend. Interns are expected to work some evenings and weekends and be available for all center-wide events. Full-time interns ideally are not enrolled in any classes or have another job during their time here.
Please read through the expectations, goals, and objectives of an intern in the career path you wish to pursue to decide if a position with us is right for you!
To apply, send an email to the coordinator associated with your position of interest (their contact information is at the end of each description below) with your resume, cover letter, and the Intern Application completed and attached.
