Connecting Students to Adventure, Learning, and Community

At Touch of Nature, we believe that outdoor experiences have the power to transform lives. Our Campus Program is specifically designed for college students seeking adventure, leadership opportunities, and ways to connect with peers and the natural world. Whether you’re a new student at Southern Illinois University (SIU) or a seasoned Saluki, the Campus Program offers engaging activities that enhance your college experience.

Available Programs

  • Underway Adventures

    Dive into the Underway Adventures Program, where our dedicated student facilitators provide cost-effective and exciting team-building experiences specifically for SIU student groups, RSOs, and campus organizations.

  • Basecamp

    At Base Camp, SIU students, faculty, and staff, as well as community members can rent a variety of outdoor equipment for a day or even several weeks.

  • Dawg Days

    Dawg Days New Student Retreat is a four-day, three-night program held at Southern Illinois University’s Touch of Nature Environmental Center. 

  • Spring Break Staycation

    Touch of Nature is offering a Spring Break Staycation that combines outdoor experiences with community service. Participants will stay on-site, engage in 20 hours of volunteer work, and enjoy additional activities.
