SIU Touch of Nature Maple Syrup Festival

Touch of Nature hosts several community-focused events annually that highlight the excitement of outdoor education while showcasing the natural beauty of our 3400 acres.

These events help us fulfill parts of our mission, including enhancing experiential learning and increasing environmental awareness.

Maple Syrup Festival

February 26-27, 2022

Enjoy two full days of family fun at the annual Maple Syrup Festival.

Welcome to all ages, this event includes demonstrations, children's activities, artist booths, live music, and a pancake breakfast featuring syrup harvested from sap from sugar maple trees on our property.

Wander Down Music Festival

October 7-9, 2022

Enjoy three full days of live music, art, outdoor education workshops for all ages, barn dance, kids trick or treat in the artist village, band scramble, open mic, and much more at the Wander Down Music Festival!

The Haunted Hollow provides a perfect Halloween atmosphere for everyone with a balance of laughs and gasps in a safe and fun environment, featuring a haunted hayride and cabin, frightening foods, as well as other family-friendly activities
