More Than Music: Explore the Get Down

The Little Grassy Get Down is more than just a music festival—it’s a full weekend of experiences for all ages. From outdoor adventures and wellness activities to local vendors and hands-on fun, there’s something around every corner.

Even better? Most activities are included with your festival pass at no extra cost (with the exception of tattoos from Neon Tiger, Jam Class, and a few others). Come ready to explore, play, and make a full weekend of it.

  • Guided Bike Rides

    Hit the trails with Ride Illinois

    Bring your own bike or borrow one of ours and choose from a variety of rides for all ages and skill levels—no extra cost to join.

  • Neon Tiger Tattoo Pop-Up

    Get inked and give back!

  • Move & Groove Kids Yoga

    For Little Yogis & the Young at Heart

    A group of families do yoga on blue mats underneath the shade of trees.

    Start your day with movement, laughter, and a little stretch. Designed for little yogis and the young at heart—no experience needed.

    Bring a mat or borrow one from us!

  • Jam Class

    Learn to Jam using the Wernick Method!

    several people playing string instruments gathered and participating in music lessons under the Jam Central Station tent

    Get familiar with Jam etiquette, song leading, backup playing, harmony, and soloing through hands-on instruction from Derek Giles! Standard bluegrass songs are used, and all skill levels are welcome and accommodated.

    Saturday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

    Tuition: $50 onsite or $45 in advance for 2 sessions; or $25 per session.

  • Y'all Rock Instrument Petting Zoo

    Hands-on fun for curious musicians of all ages!

    Ever wanted to try a new instrument without the commitment of buying one? Stop by the Instrument Petting Zoo to explore, play and rock the night away! Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or just having fun, everyone is invited to join.

    A community dance anyone can enjoy!
