Connecting Students to Adventure, Learning, and Community

At Touch of Nature, we believe that outdoor experiences have the power to transform lives. Our Campus Program is specifically designed for college students seeking adventure, leadership opportunities, and ways to connect with peers and the natural world. Whether you’re a new student at Southern Illinois University (SIU) or a seasoned Saluki, the Campus Program offers engaging activities that enhance your college experience.

Available Programs

  • Underway Adventures

    Dive into the Underway Adventures Program, where our dedicated student facilitators provide cost-effective and exciting team-building experiences specifically for SIU student groups, RSOs, and campus organizations.

  • Great Cardboard Boat Regatta

    This event steeped in SIU tradition continues to draw aspiring boat builders and spectators from SIU and the surrounding community each spring to race their fantastic cardboard creations (and watch them sink).

  • Dawg Days

    Dawg Days New Student Retreat is a four-day, three-night program held at Southern Illinois University’s Touch of Nature Environmental Center.
