Touch of Nature Canoeists

Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center is your outdoor recreation and environmental center. Friends of Touch of Nature membership is a great way to stay connected with the Center while helping us sustain our efforts in bringing high-quality programs, camps, festivals, and experiences to SIU students, staff, and all of Southern Illinois.

Friends of Touch of Nature memberships support the Center's student staff, grounds and facility maintenance, programs, events, camps, and retreats. If you would like more information about the quality programming, events, camps, etc, please email our office at ton@siu.edu.  

Multi-use Trail (Mountain Bike Trail) Parking Pass 

  • Annual Parking Pass (to park at the trailhead parking lot)- $40 donation
  • All donations go to the development of new trails and maintenance of current trails-we mean all!
  • A black donation box is located next to the trailhead parking lot-if you are only visiting for a day (but you'll be back!)  
  • Parking passes labeled 20-21 are continuing to be used to avoid waste. (we printed gobs!)  Your specific numbered pass is updated as you renew your annual donation!
