Your Support Helps Serves Our Mission

Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center serves the students at SIU, the Southern Illinois region, the nation as an outdoor laboratory for experiential learning, and as a field site for research. These services are provided through recreation therapy, environmental education and adventure education programs that provide personal and interpersonal growth experiences.

Please give what you can knowing your contribution makes a difference. You can also support our Mountain Bike Trails project. Thank you for being an important part of the unique, life-enriching programs at Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center!

General Facility Needs (new items only please)

  • Bed covers (many are needed)

Large Scale Facility Needs (new preferred but lightly used considered)

  • Van with wheelchair lift
  • 2 – Commercial Lawn Mowers
  • 2 – Side-by-Side Mules
  • 1 – golf cart that can carry at least 4 people
  • 2 – Portable Warehouses for storage

Areas to Donate

  • Camperships

    Sometimes a family can't afford the costs of some of our camps. By choosing a campership, you can help send a camper on the adventure of a lifetime.

    Camp Little Giant offers children and adults with mental, physical and developmental disabilities an eye-opening view of their own capabilities, and the belief that they can increase their confidence and independence.

    EdVenture Camps offer children and youth ages 7-15 a traditional camp experience, along with learning about the natural world around them.

  • Payroll Deductions

    A payroll deduction plan is a great giving option. Donating a small amount each payroll can work for every budget and adds up to make a significant impact.

  • Veteran Adventures

    Veteran Adventures is a program designed to help ease the transition from military life to civilian life for veterans and current military personnel by offering expeditions and events free of charge. 

    Your donation supports a range of veteran programs and events, including wilderness and hunting trips, rafting and canoeing trips, backpacking expeditions and more.
