Camp Little Giant has served campers with disabilities since 1952. It was the first camp of its kind in the nation, the first camp accredited by the American Camp Association, and ultimately paved the way for the Special Olympics.
Camp Details
From environmental education to sports, games, outdoor education, and arts and crafts, every week promises memorable opportunities for growth and fun.
Our camper to staff ratio is 4-1.
Campers will need to bring a change of clothes, a swimsuit, towel, sunblock, water bottle, and small backpack to keep their belongings in.
Campers must be able to meet Essential Eligibility Requirements and our Inclusion Statement Waiver.
Essential Eligibility Criteria (EEC) and Inclusion Statement:
EECs should not be seen as blocks to participation, but rather as a tool to help ensure your camper has the fundamental skills required to be safe and successful in our specific camp.
If your camper does not meet EEC, they are more than welcome to join camp if they provide a 1:1 caregiver that will provide services that allow the camper to meet the EEC. Please contact the camp director for details or questions.
