2024 Eclipse - April 5-9, 2024

Located in the path of totality for the 2024 Solar Eclipse, Touch of Nature is the perfect location to turn the eclipse into a fun filled experience. The second of two once in a lifetime eclipses will be taking place in Southern Illinois and Touch of Nature is in one of the most ideal spaces for the viewing of this event. For nearly 4 minutes and 9 seconds, the sun will be completely blacked out in the middle of the day!

Our staff will be on hand to help everyone in attendance enjoy this event. We are happy to open this event up to people of all ages so bring the family, bring your school group, gather up your local astronomy club/group or just come on your own and enjoy the show.

Registration for the 2024 Eclipse at Touch of Nature closes at 11:59 PM on March 20, 2024. Tickets include lodging, activities, and food for the eclipse weekend. Please note that check-in will begin at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 5th.

2024 Eclipse Packages

One extended weekend price includes lodging, all activities and all meals on Saturday/Sunday/Monday, educational sessions, and prime eclipse viewing space. All activities will take place in our main camp, Camp 2. Live streaming of the eclipse will be available should we experience inclement weather the day of the eclipse. Children ages 2 and under are FREE.

12 Person Cabin, Camp 2 - All cabins have an open floor plan and use centrally located bathrooms and shower houses. Linens ARE NOT included. Cost per person is $650. All cabins at this cost are air conditioned and have electricity. Or, rent the full cabin and save 25% for $5400.

24 Person Cabin, Camp 1 - All cabins have an open floor plan and use centrally located bathrooms and shower houses. Linens ARE NOT included. Cost per person is $450. All cabins at this cost are air conditioned and have electricity. Or, rent the full cabin and save 25% for $7200.

Tent Camping, Camp 1 – Set up a tent in our grassy playfield in Camp 1. Campsites include bathroom and showerhouse access. Cost per person is $250.

Tent Camping, Camp 2 – Set up a tent in our grassy playfield in Camp 2. Campsites include bathroom and showerhouse access. Cost per person is $300.

Little Grassy Lodge (twin) - SOLD OUT – Little Grassy Lodge offers hotel-style accommodations like air conditioning, private bath, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, mini fridge and microwave. The cost to stay in Little Grassy Lodge for this event is $900 per person.

Little Grassy Lodge (queen) - SOLD OUT -  Little Grassy Lodge offers hotel-style accommodations like air conditioning, private bath, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, mini fridge and microwave. The cost to stay in Little Grassy Lodge for this event is $1050 per person. Little Grassy Lodge queen bed lodging is SOLD OUT.

Little Grassy Lodge (double) - SOLD OUT -  Little Grassy Lodge offers hotel-style accommodations like air conditioning, private bath, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, mini fridge and microwave. The cost to stay in Little Grassy Lodge for this event is $950 per person. Little Grassy Lodge double bed lodging is SOLD OUT.

Morris Lodge – SOLD OUT - Morris Lodge is a bunk-style lodge equipped with two-person rooms that share a bathroom. There are nine rooms (18 people total) in Morris. The common area in Morris is air conditioned. Linens ARE NOT included. Cost per person is $750.

Shawnee Lodge - SOLD OUT - Shawnee Lodge is a bunk-style lodge equipped with two-person rooms that share a bathroom. There are 11 (22 people total) rooms in Shawnee. The common area in Shawnee is air conditioned. Linens ARE NOT included. Cost per person is $700. Lodging in Shawnee Lodge is SOLD OUT. 

6 Person Cabin, Camp 1 - SOLD OUT -  All cabins have an open floor plan and use centrally located bathrooms and shower houses. Linens ARE NOT included. Cost per person is $400. All cabins at this cost are air conditioned and have electricity. Or, rent the full cabin and save 25% for $1800. 

8 Person Cabin, Camp 1 - SOLD OUT -  All cabins have an open floor plan and use centrally located bathrooms and shower houses. Linens ARE NOT included. Cost per person is $400. All cabins at this cost are air conditioned and have electricity. Or, rent the full cabin and save 25% for $2400.

8 Person Cabin, Camp 2 - SOLD OUT – All cabins have an open floor plan and use centrally located bathrooms and shower houses. Linens ARE NOT included. Cost per person is $550. All cabins at this cost DO NOT feature heating or air conditioning. Or, rent the full cabin and save 25% for $3100.

Tent Camping, Tent Pads - SOLD OUT – Set up a tent on one of our 7 wooden tent pads off of the Rocky Ledges Trail which is a 15–20-minute walk from the dining hall. Cost per person is $350.
